Luciferianism / Ordo Luciferi FAQ

In order to answer this question, we must look into the word Religion. The word is derived from the Latin word ‘religo’ which means to tie or bind over again. Re= again, ligare= to bind. It evolved into the Latin term ‘religio’ which means scrupulousness, conscientious exactness. Essentially then, religion is a word that binds a person to their moral sense of right and wrong, a diligence and thorough avoidance of doing wrong.

In this respect Luciferianism is a religion. But in the normal understanding of religion, and in this case, as the belief in and worship of Lucifer as a god, is false. Luciferians do not worship, for worship implies weakness. Instead, the Luciferian is loyal to, honors and acknowledges the embodiment of Lucifer. The Light of Lucifer is Conscious Evolution, a Luciferian is dedicated to their own evolution, by so doing do they bind their self to their highest ideals, that which they conscientiously believe is right. To devote ones life to Self-Knowledge, perfect conviction, and an unerring decisiveness, that leads to Self-Sovereignty is the path of Luciferianism.

No. Luciferianism acknowledges both Light and Dark Principles, thus we realize the relevance of the natural order of dualities, but are not bound by them. Lucifer and Satan are not the same nor related, this correlation was wrought on by a misinterpretation in Isaiah 14:12, wherein the translator incorrectly inserted Lucifer as opposed to the real meaning of Helal a Babylonian king. Thus the Christian religion has demonized the Light Bearer, in err as a Fallen Angel.

If we were to compare the two, it might be summarized as follows:

Lucifer represents= Higher Intelligence/ Understanding/ Vision, Higher Self, Reason, (Angel/Lord of) Light, (Divine Light) Pure Energy.

Satan represents= Base Intelligence, (Physical Strength) Instinct, (Rebellion) Primitive, Animalistic, (Controller)emotional, (Prince of Darkness) Matter etc.

Luciferians recognize that to remain balanced both sides must be actualized to evolve to higher levels of understanding and being. We are in essence Advanced Intelligence, we are no longer at the base nor have we reached our Highest Intelligence. Thus, Luciferianism does not omit nor deny Satanic principles, however, Luciferianism is not Satanism. Those who correlate the two, do so in err.

Do Luciferians believe in Magick?

The term 'magick' is only used for lack of a more appropriate word. 'Magick' is used specifically in ones ability to influence and affect reality through the 'Will'(will-power(ability to do or act)).vivam vis voluntus. At some point in our evolution we will realize that our thoughts as well as our hands can shape the world/reality. 

Lucifer is as real as the Luciferian chooses to make him in his life work. Belief is a powerful force of the mind, and the belief of a Higher Intelligence expands the mind to understand this Ideal Intelligence. It becomes a part of the believer. Luciferians in this sense are as well Chaos Magicians. For Lucifer as a godform or an archetype of a highly advanced Individual Intelligent Being, can assist the Luciferian in their Opus Magnum and grow in understanding as the individual does.

Therefore, the Ordo Luciferi, remains neutral to this question, Luciferians are free to believe in their own manner, and do not try to make others believe in what they believe. However, as Luciferians it is our strength to question our own beliefs, by so doing will others question theirs.

If you have to ask, the answer is "No, you are not". But Lucifer may begin to appeal to your intellectual senses at a certain time in your personal development, it is then that you may begin to discover that you already are.

Most Luciferian groups are youthful enterprises, that have emerged of finding no more satisfaction in Satanism. Therefore, they look for the next best thing, Lucifer. There exist very little information on the internet or in books on Luciferianism, and these individuals seek to place their faith in another god or continue to worship the same ideal under a different name. Therefore, many Luciferian groups are much like Satanist, in that they do the same things they have always done but call for guidance to a different name. Luciferianism in this respect is devotion to Lucifer as a father figure and praying to demons, it is in a sense reversed Christianity. Instead of seeing Jehova as the good god, he is out to destroy humanity, whereas Lucifer is the Light Bearer and seeks to rise humanity to the level of godliness. 

Then, there are a few select groups that do represent the highest standards of Luciferianism as a philosophy of life. Such groups advocate Conscious Evolution in Humanity, Individual Understanding and Luciferic Illumination. Sapient beings whose ideals incorporate Great Vision, Higher Intelligence (Self) and Self-Sovereignty. To better oneself in the physical, mental and spiritual planes of existence, to thereby become a more effective lifeform.

The advantage to joining the Ordo Luciferi, will be to those who find themselves more drawn to the third group of Luciferians mentioned. This is the direction in which the Ordo Luciferi is working towards.

It is essentially an initiatory Luciferian Order, that incorporates various implements of the physical, mental and energy body, toward the advancement of ones Individual Intelligence. It is a philosophical order, and not a religious order. The initiations may involve rituals, there exist certain ceremonies and there are prayers/invocations. Much of which is strictly for self-exploration. The Order does not interfer with ones personal and/or religious opinions, be they what they may. For Luciferians like Chaotes, obtain their Light from various sources of science and religion.

The Initiatory system comprised by the Ordo Luciferi is a course toward Self-Attainment, and Luciferic Illumination. This system is not for laymen, and is impersonal. In order to progress, one must show proficiency in specified areas in the physical, mental and energy bodies. Self-Mastery is not given, it is earned, Self-Attainment is a process not for the meek, but for those who know, dare, will and keep silent. The Ordo Luciferi is a confidential order, in that members at various degrees have access to other members who have clearance to their level, in that our Opus Magnum continue to be multi-faceted and rich in quality content.

To become an official member of the Ordo Luciferi, one must be selected by an advanced member of the Order. The public forum (Luciferian Order) is the inital access to the Ordo Luciferi, upon ones own strength of character is admittance bestowed to prospecting initiates.
